If you are a Jay Chou fan, it's impossible not to know who Ken Lin (林暐恆) is. Affectionately called Ah Ken, I think he is a great , funny comedien/host/singer/actor from Taiwan who dabbles into many ventures and frequently appears as a funny sidekick to Jay Chou. When I heard that he will be the host of Bo Lin's upcoming Live Cooking Show, I was beaming from ear to ear as close fans will know how "witty" Ken can get.

Bolin was invited as a special guest for a Chinese New Year Live Cooking Show (明星來上菜) endorsed by Fuze Tea and supported by Apple Daily. Bolin showed off his amazing culinary skills , making Braised Chicken Wings (something he claimed he was making for the very first time) while using his gentle demeanor and attractive voice in answering Ken Lin's comical questions on his views on relationships and his recent activities.

Bolin had a nice brown tan (most probably from Bali ? ) and wore a sweater resembling the one he wore during the SK2 Kobe Live Show. I love his hairstyle nowadays - I hope he keeps it for some time and it gave him a touch of boyishness that matches perfectly with his mature look and lean physique. He keeps looking better and better as he ages.

Here are some highlights from the hour long interview :

1. Bolin is amazing in the kitchen.

I loved how natural Bolin is in the kitchen. From the way he handles the utensils to his knife skills, you know he loves to cook. There was a short section where he paused to think about whether he should put the chicken before the sauce. Don't miss it as he had a super adorable expression.

2. Bolin puts his heart in everything he does.

I love it when I see someone who puts care and thoughts into everything they do. From how he carefully tried to answer each question to how he carefully chose the winner of the "auspicious wish" competition and the parts where he was just constantly wiping the tabletop while the meal was being cooked and ensuring that the knife he used was always clean. He's just so perfect. He also ensured the pan was washed while it was hot so that the staff members won't have a hard time washing it.

3. His views on love and relationships are just SPOT ON.

As fans, we know how protective he is of his private life and we try EXTREMELY hard not to be too nosy. However, whenever he answers questions on his view on love, I'm just glued to his every word. After all, we want him to find someone who will take care and love him like we do. During the show, Bolin answers questions about his love of cooking for his family , friends and his girlfriend (past? present? who knows .. haha) . I loved his answer on sense of security. Emotional security is such a complex topic as it is built over time and needs a strong foundation of understanding and trust between 2 people. I loved his answer because his answer reflects his thoughts that he accepts his partner just the way they are including their sense of security. He says if his girlfriend has no sense of security in their relationship, he sees this as a positive sign of her loving him and caring for their relationship. His understanding of this shows what a perfect boyfriend he will be.

Of course, many fans are curious about whether he still keeps in touch with Song Ji Hyo a year after their reality show. His answer does not reveal in detail whether their relationship progressed but it was clear that the show made a big imression and impact on his life.
