... The Dream Starts with Disney

I've not updated the blog for some time.. there's lot's of catching up to do ! So let's start.

The Premiere of "The Dreaming Man"

On the 8th of December, we will get to see the film that Bolin worked (and worked out ) so hard for.

Flashback to last year, Bolin said he couldn't eat too much because he was working out for a movie. This is it... the movie he redid his physique for. Do you remember?

Time flies... doesn't it.

A little recap of what the movie is about.

The story brings us towards a lovely girl called "Wang Xiao He" . Alone in a big city, Wang Xiaohe's parents died young and by herself, she worked hard to earn money to attend college. She has a crush on a handsome guy - Zheng Tian Le. One day, Tian Le collapsed by her side and she rushed him to the hospital. In a muddle of events, the Zheng Family mistaken her for his fiancee. Her good intentions raised some doubts from Tien Le's brother Tien Chou. What happens when Tien Le wakes up?

As per expected, our sweet lady fell in love with the ever charming Tien Chou - played by our evergreen super hero, Mr Chen Bolin.... and the rest..... catch it in the cinemas !

If the storyline sound similar, it is because it is an adaptation of the 90s hit "While You Were Sleeping" played by Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. I really loved that movie... Although it is an adaptation, I think Lin Yun and Bolin's telling of the story will be completely different bringing a fresh new way of storytelling.

About the cast.

Chen Bolin as Zhen Tian Chou.

Bolin plays a chef in the movie. He said he learnt how to cook Chinese Cuisine as preparation for the movie. As a veteran actor, this may not seem to be a particular challenging role for Bolin. However, this is a significant step for him and his company (Wudi Pictures) as their first collaboration with Disney in it's first venture into China.

Lin Yun as Wang Xiao He

Lin Yun is just 21 years old but has already a string of successful movies (one of them was "The Mermaid" by acclaimed star Stephen Chow) under her belt. She is unpretentious girl who from her interviews , seemed sincere and down to earth. Bolin was quite impressed with her acting and even commented how deeply she seemed to be immersed in her character.
